KEY INGREDIENTS EXPLAINED

Algae Extract: Algae extract is an extremely nutrient-dense class of seaweed that has numerous  skin benefits, thanks to its nutritional profile that consists of vitamins A, B, C, and E, omega 3  fatty acids, and lots of antioxidants. It helps regulate the production of sebum to ensure that your  skin is not too dry or too oily.

Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine: Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine (THPE) is an anti aging compound that provides a rapid skin firming effect, improving the appearance of facial  contours - according to one study. Its benefits can be seen on the face within a few minutes of  application. Another study found that 45 minutes after a single THPE application, the subject's  skin surface smoothed out, light reflection was modified, and they had a healthy gold and more  radiance. Skin yellowishness was also reduced. Other areas of improvement after a single use  included reductions in fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, expression lines, and under eye dark  circles. These results lasted for hours. This ingredient has been deemed non-toxic, per the EWG.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 - a synthetically made form of palmitoyl oligopeptide that acts on the specific skin  receptors and stimulates the production of collagen in our skin cells. It firms our skin, reduces the  appearance of wrinkles and fine-lines. It makes your skin look healthier and fresh.

Niacinamide - a form of vitamin B3 that acts as a cell builder. It also protects against damage from  environmental pollution, toxins, stress, and sunlight. According to one study, niacinamide improves facial  aging skin appearance - specifically the reduction in the appearance of hyperpigmentation spots and red  blotches. Results concluded “reductions in fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmented spots, red blotchiness,  and skin sallowness (yellowing). In addition, elasticity was improved.”

Tocopheryl Acetate - a form of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects skin against oxidative  damage and UV damage. Research shows that vitamin E has antitumorigenic and photoprotective  properties. Skin care products with tocopheryl acetate may cause a local skin reaction.

Ascorbic Acid - also known as L-ascorbic acid—has the most skin-related research of any  form of vitamin C. When properly formulated at a pH of less than 4 (2.6-3.2 is the ideal range), this form  helps create younger-looking, firmer-feeling skin while fading signs of uneven skin tone and spots.  According to one study, vitamin C can be used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation. Research shows  that vitamin C works by “stimulating collagen synthesis and assisting in antioxidant protection against  UV-induced photodamage.”

Allantoin - Allantoin, or (2,5-dioxo-4-imidazolidinyl)urea, is a heterocyclic organic compound. Allantoin  functions as a skin protectant and skin conditioning agent. According to one study, allantoin also has  strong moisturizing properties and a high safety of the therapy - is not allergenic, does not cause skin  irritation. “Allantoin contained in an ointment or cream accelerates the exfoliation of dead skin cells,  making the skin smoother. Thanks to the allantoin accelerating the proliferation of epithelial cells also  occurs to quicker recovery of the skin, making skin more easily retain more water and to rebuild the  protective hydro-lipid coat. Preparations containing allantoin is also recommended as an adjunct in the  treatment of chronic skin diseases with impaired keratosis or skin damage, such as atopic dermatitis,  contact dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis, ulcers or burns. Complementary therapy, external preparations  containing allantoin, significantly reduces symptoms and improves the quality of life of the patient.”

Glutathione - an antioxidant that has skin-brightening and skin-conditioning abilities. Research shows  that it helps reduce hyperpigmentation. The undesired effects were a few minutes mild tingling sensation  after night cream, and worsening of acne in all tested products. Conclusion: skin care products containing  GSH 0.1% and 0.5% were effective in facial skin lightening.

3-o-ethyl Ascorbic Acid - a stable form of vitamin C that provides antioxidant effects to skin. Vitamin C is  also required for the synthesis of collagen production, which helps keep skin youthful and firm. Can be  used as a skin-brightening and anti-aging ingredient.

Cananga Odorata Flower Oil - Ylang ylang essential oil contains terpenoid derivatives which may have  high potential for the treatment of skin disorders or cancer. It can promote oil production and reduce  dryness when used topically. It soothes inflammation and irritation on the body while strengthening skin  and hair. It also contains antibacterial properties to fight acne.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water - according to one study, “aloe-derived material has fungicidal,  antimicrobial, and antiviral activities, and has been effective in wound healing and infection treatment in  animals. Aloe barbadensis (also known as Aloe vera)-derived ingredients were not toxic in acute oral  studies using mice and rats.” Aloe serves as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-cooling agent.  Research shows that aloe accelerates wound healing, reduces the appearance of scars, and protects  against UV damage. Aloe is great for sensitive skin.

Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract - Also known as snow mushroom, this plant extract is a rich  source of polysaccharides and has shown an ability to help hydrate skin by binding moisture to its surface.  According to one study, Tremella fuciformis polysaccharide (TFPS), which is the extract of Tremella  fuciformis Berk, has previously been demonstrated to exhibit potent anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory and  anti-aging effects. TFPS may act as a potential therapeutic agent for oxidative-stress-associated skin  diseases and aging.
